Breaking The Silence is a collection of writing by Asian Women. Women whose experience is not usually known about. Most of the writing is in their mother tongue - Bengali, Hindi, Urdu, Gujerati, Punjabi - as well as English.
The wide range of experience, the different backgrounds, all countribute to give insight into the lives of Asian women in this country. The book is of value and interest within the Asian community, thought provoking outside of it. Beautifully illustrated with contemporary photographs of Asian women’s lives.
